about

epilogue

After two pieces that belong to the same series, a third one seemed to be a natural conclusion. Epilogue, as it is titled, is in fact composed by two epilogues; two in one, like many parameters in this duo form an indivisible whole.

Two visions of the same conclusion, one as if played from inside with sparse notes which form its own architecture, and the other more opaque that seems to fill the spaces between each note, as if it were its opposite side, but appearing later in an asynchronous continuum.

An appendix is used to briefly inform about a possible continuity of a previous event, and here as a matter of fact, it acquires a double function, that of an ending and at the same time a beginning.
Both a junction and a transition.

Like a reflection of the two previous pieces Adhuc and Cuhda, already reflected in their own titles, Epilogue is a subtle way to close a chapter in order to open a new one, in which sobriety and precision will continue being two of the duo’s most important guidelines.
